awww, shucks laura
thanks to laura bush for coming to the aid of mary cheney and the rest of the lesbians out there. lesbians and gays and all of those other 'different folks' have a champion in this campaign and election season and it is laura bush- who has said that it takes "sensitivity" to talk about their sex lives. well, i, for one, am glad that laura is a republican woman who feels that she can buck the patriarchal society in the party and stand up for herself and speak her own views outside of her husband's. you go girl! you may get out of the kitchen yet.

I was surprised to hear Laura say this. She's a Stepford wife, but once in a while she says something that actually makes sense.
I remember during the presidential campaign, I believe it was the Gore daughters, were getting advice from their mom on how to handle themselves. "Be intelligent, pay attention to the issues, speak well, use your political knowledge, speak with passion, etc."
By contrast, Laura's advice? "Make sure your hair is combed."
