Aren't those "extreme" steps they are taking just common sense? I had cut every bit of spending to the bare bones, and that was before gas had hit $2.50. At $3.50 there isn't alot left to trim. That's why today I start working a second job. That's something that my dad never had to do -- he simply worked a handful of lucrative odd jobs in the slow times on the family farm when I was growing up.
