Enriching the soil and helping it to be fruitful - sorta like giving vitamins. We do composting and the worms do help. Here's a teeny composter: Put a couple of banana skins in a large jar of water; seal it with lid and set that in a sunny spot. After a week, you can pour the liquid directly on plants. You'll have bigger, healthier plants.
