new look

for the sirens chronicles- we will be working out a few bugs here and there- and if you find anything- leave a comment for dusty so she knows- but i think it will be easier to navigate. check it out.

i won't go into the stupidity of the cable company not telling us that we needed to have our cable box and modem at the new place in order to transfer the cable- let's just suffice to say i rescheduled for tuesday too- so moving day and cable day will be on the same day- and i probably won't be back until wednesday or thursday. we are taking the tv over today.

not that most care- because i have no doubt that you are all going through your own private weather hell- but holy shit in a shitbox it is hot and humid here and expected to stay the same over the next 3 or 4 days- give or take a bit on the temp. for example, last night at midnight or so- it was 80 degrees with 70% or so humidity. at 7:00 am today- it is currently 70 degrees with 90% humidity. and no- i am not exaggerating. sigh. it isn't even august yet.

are you sure it is not August ??? it was 95 here yesterday...with Heat Index of 105 ( wtf does that even mean- except that I melted walking the dog???)

Hey...good luck moving...I hope it cools down by tuesday for you....

And hope the new place is wonderful...

It's global warming, accelerated by all the 'hot air' emitted from the Primaries. Expect it to get worse as we head into the General Election.:)

"it is hot and humid here"
We've been over a hundred the last three days, but near opposite you, we have "winter" humidity readings. Really low! Below 30% type lows.

Because the sun hits us at such a direct angle, the moisture is just sucked out of the plant life by that blast furnace of a sun! We haven't had any rain since early May (and we got a whopping .01" then"), and our reservoirs are losing water to evaporation something awful. We're right back in the drought conditions of last summer - except we never got out of last summer's conditions...(: We're just hoping and begging for a tropical system... The thought of 3 or 4 inches of rain is something we've only dreamed about the last three years.

Hey, bet. I went over to TSC and added it to my bookmarks for later reading. I love the art that's on the author's list page!

I like the new look at Sirens and regarding the weather I guess it is better than a blizzard.

We've had the same shitty weather here in the heartland.
