new america

"The U.S. government has injected hundreds of foreigners it has deported with dangerous psychotropic drugs against their will to keep them sedated during the trip back to their home country, according to medical records, internal documents and interviews with people who have been drugged."

h/t attaturk

this country that i live in is not america. i stopped calling it the united states of america oh- somewhere along the way of the red states/blue states elections. i can't call this country america any longer because my america doesn't torture people; drug people against their will; detain indefinitely without access to counsel or habeas corpus; sweep people up in raids; tell students that they are terrorists- my america is free. it is an open democracy. i now live in a country that invades and occupies any nation it chooses. for profit. it is a bitter pill indeed.

I finally made it over here! And wow...you tackle some very powerful shit. I'm glad you do this; it keeps me on my toes and puts me further to the left, from where I've sometimes strayed. I'd love it if I could remain in the middle where it's easy but there is so much that can't be ignored and I won't stop thinkin' ... I refuse to stop thinkin'

Thanks for all you do. This blog's being added to my list.

Peace, my friend
