Thanks for the link, betmo. I felt as if I were swimming upstream by writing this. I continue to be amazed by several trends with this election: Bloggers, the Progressive ones I read, are trying to have a bit of restraint with their endorsements or critiques. The major news talking-heads seem less and less responsible about all this. They rush to judgment, pile on people who are down , make shallow evaluations, and generally do not honor the process. They are too lazy, too quick to be flip or outrageous, and too egotistical to be helpful. Is it old-fashioned to wish for Huntley and Brinkley?
