just in time for voting season

please check out jim's post over at an average american patriot- these are 5 of the several things i did not know:

Did you know....
1. 80% of all votes in America are counted by only two companies: Diebold and ES&S.

2. There is no federal agency with regulatory authority or oversight of the U.S. voting machine industry.

3. The vice-president of Diebold and the president of ES&S are brothers.

4. The chairman and CEO of Diebold is a major Bush campaign organizer and donor who wrote in 2003 that he was "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

5. Republican Senator Chuck Hagel used to be chairman of ES&S. He became Senator based on votes counted by ES&S machines.

addendum 1/3/07: anonymous commenter challenged me about this list- and i certainly do not mind being called out if i am wrong- and i will always print retractions if i am wrong. upon doing some preliminary research, i have found that some of the info on this list dates to the 2004 election. i will post links to the new info i uncovered in my preliminary search for the truth.

diebold's political machine- 2004

diebold- wikipedia background

voting machine company under investigation- 2006

changes are expected in voting 2008- 2006

voting out e machines- 2007

new voting machines may not meet state standards- 2007

ohio electronic voting machines vulnerable- 2007

and just for fun- coffman, voting machine company used same advisor- 2007

info on who is related to who- and who was ceo of where- is contained in the above articles. you can look through the original list and much of this info and find answers but i will keep searching.

alright Betmo, Surprise! i started to research Pakistani corruption but realize it is around the world today and the problem is growing.
My own thought is it will get a lot worse as people vie to stay in control. I am always concerned about those damnn machines and having this one stolen too. I fully expect and so doesn't the chief idiot. After readin the 20 I now know why.
I didn't realize they were owned by brothers. 80% imagine that and i did remember them guaranteeing Bush the election but I am stunned they friggen get away with it? There are so many ways to steal an election today and Bush showed us 2 of them. The electoral college has to go and Judges have no place. The electoral college no longer speak for us and we can get to the poles ourselves.
They say those machines are to get us into the 21st century, Bull. The 21st century of corruption. Sometimes to go forward you have to go backward like back to paper ballots.

wow b, this is very scary. I try hard to continue to have faith that our electoral system is mostly free from corruption, but after reading these stories it is very difficult.

I do believe that justice is usually done in the end. hey, OJ might finally go to prison. but how much damage will be done first?

If Bush had not been elected there would likely have been no Iraq war and thousands of our troops would be alive.

voting machines are a big problem, but there is also the electoral college that allowed Bush to get in in the first place. maybe a democratic president and congress combined can change it.

happy new year!

Venezuela actually has one of the most up to date electoral systems, with an online and paper ballot.

There is plenty of things that are messed up in the voting industry, but you all need to do your homework rather than let someone make a list for you with no references.
1. This is the only that probably is true.
2. There is a federal agency, NASED, who gets their standards for voting systems from NIST. NASED approval is required by every state before a system is allowed, except FL, they do their own testing since the punch card debacle. Now the EAC has taken over the industry.
3. The brothers you are referring to are not in the positions cited.
4. That idiot for Diebold that said that is long gone from the company.
5. Hagel was never chairman of ES&S. He has investments in an investment company that owns ES&S.

Gather facts rather than fear monger. If you think I am wrong, prove by doing actual research rathern than circulates internet lies. This type of talk does more harm than the voting machine manufacturers.

Diebold has been decertified in Cali by our SOS Debra Bowen.

Diebold changed their name after it became mud after the 2004 elections. Premier Election Solutions is what it's called now. Also, several other states have taken steps to decertify Diebold/PES machines;

And here is a good story about how crooked those mutha fuckas(diebold) were when they cooked their books:

First I have to say if I say something I don't hide behind anonymous or anything else. No back up no research? I suggest you read before you open your mouth and put your foot in it.
I included the link for the story and if you clicked on it you would see that every single one of the 20 was authoritatively backed up.
I have to laugh there was so many links I had trouble with them all. I just went back and there are 48 different links and stories. Please hit this link this time and check them out. stolen elections

By the way, this is Jim Joiner and there is nothing anonymous about me!
Unless you are telling me all those people are liars!
