a wee melodramatic

but i have 8 of these bulbs in my apartment- and i intend to get probably 4 more to make the whole apartment incandescent free. yes, it is a small thing- but saving 1,000 pounds a year in emissions is something. and it's a start. put that together with recycling, downsizing, spending less, carpooling, taking your own bags to the store- you get my point. every bit helps and the more people who do it- makes a greater impact. those changes are easy. researching and boycotting companies who aren't green- is the next step.

the journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step. it isn't about how little you can do to get by- it's about how much you can do to make a difference.

I agree with your post and I also am boycotting as many foreign made products as I can, to save U.S jobs and helping the economy will do that as well.

Hey, Betmo, you've been my shining light for as long as I can remember!

The real answer in our world is to adopt a more simple, communal lifestyle. Gandhi showed the way.

At least I have done the flourescent thing. I think we have 8 bulbs in the house now and every time I go in to Menards I pick up more. It's small but if everyone did it...
