feelin' snarky

with apologies to paul simon and his groove- i find it ironic that bush is saying things like this:

"In our day there is a temptation to manipulate life in ways that do not respect the humanity of the person," Bush said Friday. "When that happens, the most vulnerable among us can be valued for their utility to others instead of their own inherent worth."

really george? is that what happened to our brave men and women in iraq? or to the hundreds of thousands dead, wounded and displace iraqis and afghanis?

"We must continue to work for a culture of life where the strong protect the weak and where we recognize in every human life the image of our creator," Bush said.

what does the creator look like george? old, rich and white? seems like to you that the only folks of any value have 'snowflake babies' and live in gated communities. i did a search george- and unlike you i have actually read the christian bible through twice- no where can i find where your savior says that: lying, cheating, stealing, self righteousness, revenge, violence, murder, war, false imprisonment, etc., is ok. i believe he said- leave that to god. but... i paraphrase. no where does he say to inflict your religion into politics- no indeedy- i believe he says "render unto caesar what is caesar's."

so- george- before you go off pretending to be 1) a human being and 2) a christian- perhaps you should remember the saying 'those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.' you are in no position to be out there saying anything on any subject. in fact, you should be thinking right about now- 'hey, it's a miracle that i haven't been impeached!' because quite frankly, i don't have any other explanation for it.

Regarding "feelin' snarky," etc. Good posts today. If I were superstitious, I'd say we all are feeling that way, because it is Friday the 13th. But the real reason is the individual provoking these posts. Each day my astonishment is renewed. Have a good weekend, b.

How in the world did the audience keep from puking! Remember the photo of George and Laura kissing at the pope's coffin? I have that around someplace. I never did figure out what that was about.

Exodus 1:27--So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;male and female created he them.

So that would make God a hermaphrodite (or "dick-chick" in the japanese vernacular, or "lady-boy" in Thailand or "transgender" here in the US).

Maybe tha explains why god was able to stay at home in the void and get the whole place tided up--firmament here, the sun and the moon there and once all that was sorted he/she could get stuck-in to blasting his own creations to smithereens or drowning them and whatnot.

Millions listened to that speech, wiped their eyes and continued on to church - to hear yet more lies.

Oh, but the best is his accusation that Congress is putting the troops in harm's way. Because their redeployment despite wounds and handicaps is all Congress' fault.

Ironic that he looks for venues to spew even more rhetoric, as only an unbeliever in human life and equity can do......he is consistent on that front! ; (

Sorry to seem obtuse, but I keep seeing references to "snarky" and near as I can figure it's sorta sarcastic?? I'm hopelessly naive about this blogging lingo, I'm afraid, so I need to ask in places I don't fear being roasted alive! (Thanks for being one of them). More on topic; does the pic go with the speech? And was it from W's speech to the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast??
