new world order in america

"About 170 children, including 9-year old Kevin, are currently detained in this former maximum security prison deep in the heart of Texas where they enjoy:

  • An eight-metre-high chain-link fence
  • Uniformed guards
  • Cameras
  • Metal detectors
  • Lasers
  • A single hour of school instruction per day
  • Canned beans
  • 15 minutes per meal
  • Inadequate medical care
  • Lack of privacy
  • 3 head counts per day, which require an hour of cell time apiece
  • Ongoing threat of separation of children and parents
  • Exemption from teacher licensing requirements
  • Exemption from child care licensing requirements
  • where is this internment camp? the great state of tex-ass in the 'land of the free and home of the brave' whose symbol of freedom declared,

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

thanks to democracy on the rocks for this post.

as if that wasn't bad enough- friendly neighbor has this post:

"Arrested in May 2002 at Chicago's O'Hare airport, Padilla, a Brooklyn-born former gang member, was classified as an 'enemy combatant' and taken to a navy prison in Charleston, South Carolina. He was kept in a cell 9ft by 7ft, with no natural light, no clock and no calendar. Whenever Padilla left the cell, he was shackled and suited in heavy goggles and headphones. Padilla was kept under these conditions for 1,307 days. He was forbidden contact with anyone but his interrogators, who punctured the extreme sensory deprivation with sensory overload, blasting him with harsh lights and pounding sounds. Padilla also says he was injected with a 'truth serum,' a substance his lawyers believe was LSD or PCP.. ..These same practices have been documented in dozens of cases of 'extraordinary rendition' carried out by the CIA, as well as in prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan"

"Did I mention, Padilla is an American citizen, arrested on American soil, who has never been anywhere near any armed conflict? His arrest was way before the MCA was passed, and has been a textbook case of abuse of power."

Another reason I won't ever fly again until the TSA and DHS are disbanded.

    And the current regime overthrown.

People who are no way related to the issues are being arrested is something which has to be condemned. And this is still being continued is a sad state.

I won't fly either as long as we live in a police state. I feel so bad for those children suffering under this evil regime. We might have to drop Texas from the union or at least ban them from running for national office.

The thing I can do to not toss stuff around this comp. Lab is bite my lip. This is an outrage. I knew the patriot act would led to this. I felt it in my soul. This has to stop and those responsible must be held accountable. We in america support Bush and his croonies out of fear that the Bush Administration is putting out their. We are being striped of our rights. This cannot be allowed to happen I am sending this to my senator I want something done about this this is a shame. Slippery slop where are we headed as a nation. This is not the same US that was found on the principals of equality and right and restrictions of the govn't. THis hurts me it really does. My day is ruined.

Yeah, I love your "give me your tired, your poor" reference.
It's so much more awful than my worst dreams ever imagined it could, it would be.

    Sad, indeed.
