my vote for president

will go to the person who does not 'misunderestimate' the neocon pnac contingent and their plans and who will put election and campaign finance reform at the top of the list.

my vote will go to the person who puts environmental concerns above jobs or corporate interests and truly has a comprehensive approach that includes conservation as well as the search for REAL alternative fuel options and not the ones put forth by big energy.

my vote will go to the person who puts bringing home the troops from iraq and apologizes to the folks in the middle east for f--king up their part of the planet for oil and war profiteering.

my vote will go to the person who puts a federal plan for education in motion that doesn't involve useless, non funded standardized testing and includes basic standards for elementary and secondary classes so that every child in america is actually able to learn. a plan that includes affordable college so that we can compete in the world again.

so- if any of the folks on the current fast track to the primaries thinks that this sounds good- let me know- and you have my vote.

I want the exact same things that you do along with some plan for nationwide health care and care for ALL Veterans.

I don't see Al Gore on the list.

Kucinich is there.

These two meet almost 100% of your criteria.

I choosing who you are going to vote for is an important decison.

I have this sneaking suspicion that Gore is non-campaigning to make an official bid at the presidency in early 2008 and he has the infrastructure in place to fundraise like nobody's bisiness and has a viable platform plus no nagging history on how he voted for the war in Iraq. That's my personal frontrunner with Obama a close second.

As long as it's not a dictator posing as a socialist like Chavez...

billie said...

well, fc- we already have the dictator and he isn't looking much like chavez at present :)i will take someone who truly governs the nation and doesn't just posture and sabre rattle and misappropriate billions of dollars or lose it outright.

I'm afraid you're asking for pie in the sky, and banana cream, at that.:) I'm 1000% behind you - BUT: look what happened in the midterms. All these promises were made, so we put them in office. And what happened? SOS!!!!

Your ideal candidate sounds like Kucinich.
