hmmm.... i am going to go out on a limb here and say it is because we have corporate media. we no longer have 'the fourth estate'- used to be known as the press corps. no investigative journalism these days- it is all about ratings and entertainment. that flying in the face of people wanting to know more about the news. corporate media versus actual journalism. one more reason our country is tanking.
That is sad. The US govn't has done some horrible things. Yet they act as if they can't understand why we use skepticism when they tell us things. Those were Americans.
When I first heard this story, I thought they were talking about the current debate on immigration. Then I found out it was people, many American citizens, that they did this to.
Years have gone by, but the tragedies still happen to the peaceful people. Is that why we fight? Is that why there is war? Maybe so.

Years ago there were 13!
Thus, media manipulation for the majority of people, will be read daily and accepted, blindly ; (
Others, look elsewhere, where they are not being bought and told what to say, or how to say it.
Who would've ever thought we'd come so far, and have so little ; (
