can someone tell me
why- if manuel noriega was such a heinous dictator in panama- and was convicted and sentenced to 40 years in federal prison in 1992- why he is getting out in september? i mean- i remember hearing from poppa bush about how horrible this man was. how we had to hunt him down and take him out. we invaded panama to get him. we have him- and now- after serving 15 years out of 40- this "evil" man is getting out. i guess i just wonder what the real reason is. i doubt if he is a model citizen today.

Wasn't pop the one who helped fund Noriega in the first place and help place him?
I thought it was curious when he was pres that he suddenly found a need to track him down and jail him.
Some more chess moves.....if'n they don't do what you intended them to do, then take them out.

I think he's getting released to attend a pajama party with Osama. I understand they are having a pillow fight and eating popcorn and throwing rocks at Bush.
Politics, is a game. give and take.
I am amazed at how "enemies" go in and out of fashion over the years. We must not forget, however, that there must always be a new set waiting in the wings, when we get bored (as coffee messiah said). I think the next group is Iran.

They probably are done with the enhanced interrogation, and he is no longer a threat to spill the beans.
