whew!

everyone here in betmoland is pooped. mr.betmo had to go out of town for some training- so he had dinner with me and the friends and then left from there. i am pooped; the cats are exhausted from being mauled by two teenage girls who had to put their own cat to sleep last year. we shopped and bowled and watched a teenage girl movie at the theater. well, that was an experience i haven't had since i worked at the girl's group home almost 5 years ago. so- i am going to turn in early and get back into the fray tomorrow. it is good to recharge and debate in real time. my friend is very dear and has a different perspective in many ways from mine. she is an independent but i could see her in either party- i mean she doesn't really have a lean to her. very liberal on some issues- very conservative on others. blue collar, traditional middle class family. she is a nurse. really helps to put a finger to the pulse(nod to her profession) of where middle america is at. so- lot's of food for thought and many posts i hope. back at ya'll tomorrow.

Stick some of that neverending teenage ambition in a bottle and save it up.:)

Welcome back, betmo. I took some time off myself. I look forward to reading your next post!

One of the best things about having the kids over for awhile is - they eventually go home and you can rest. Rest well and live to play another day.

Glad you made it through the weekend Betmo.......
I worked in juvenile corrections at one time, (you can see it in my job listing post). We'll have to trade stories some time.

Also, did I hear you say bowling? Very cool. I love to bowl, but no-one around in my little circle has any interest in it. This year for sure, I'm joining a league!
So, what did you score at the bowling alley besides a beer on #5? :)

a new personal best- bowled 2 games for a combined of 222. did i mention that i stink at bowling? i have no desire to learn how to bowl properly- and indeed only go when they come to visit once a year. we also went to the driving range. none of us golf. yep- i worked with foster kids in a girl's group home for 51/2 years and with runaway/homeless kids for 2. i retired from that. if i do go back into the workplace for anything- it will not be in that particular field- i am getting too old. :) i don't have children of my own on purpose.
